On Friday 19 July 2019 from 4:00 UTC we are at the quay in Scheveningen near the shed of the Rijksrederij. The shore staff and crew are unloading the heavy material from the herring acoustic survey and are already loading the gear for the Bottom Trawl Survey (BTS) that will start on Monday 27 July 2019. Later in the morning the Tridens moves to the quay at the Vissershavenweg and the researchers are picked up with their equipment (8:00 UTC).

In the morning, Serdar quickly makes distribution maps of herring and sprat: the first preliminary results of the Dutch part of the acoustic survey for herring and sprat. In the autumn, the international participants (Scotland, Norway, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands) come together to merge the results.
