Om 19:15 UTC zien we kleine, donkerrode paaltjes aan de grond. In de schemering wordt snel een van de schooltjes opgepikt met de sonar en gevangen (trek 22). De vangst bestaat alleen uit sprot (10-14cm), op een enkele slanke pijlinktvis (Illex coindetii) na.
At 7:15 pm UTC we see small, dark red pillars on the ground. At dusk, one of the schools is quickly picked up with the sonar and caught (haul 22). The catch consists only of sprat (10-14 cm), with the exception of a single broadtal shortfin squid (Illex coindetii).

Op de trawlsonar is te zien dat er flinke kluit in het net gaat. Rechts naast het net is een school vis die ontsnapt - On the trawl sonar you can see that there is a big aggregation entering the net. Right next to the net is a school of fish that escapes.

De "vangst" van trek 23 in de last bestaat voornamelijk uit oude sprot die in het net was blijven hangen van de vorige trek - The "catch" of haul 23 in the hold consists mainly of old sprat that got stuck in the net after the previous haul.

Het grootste deel van de vangst van trek 23 bestaat uit gele- en blauwe haarkwallen - The majority of the catch of haul 23 consists of lion's mane - and blue jellyfish.

Van sommige kwallen is het niet gemakkelijk om te beslissen of de kleur geel of blauw is. Blauwe haarkwallen kunnen namelijk ook geel zijn! Op deze foto staan drie echte gele haarkwallen, de rest bestaat uit blauwe haarkwallen - For some of the jellyfish it is difficult to decide wether they have a yellow (lion's mane) - or blue colour. Blue jellyfish can be yellow(ish)! In this picture there are three real Lion's mane jellyfish, the others are blue jellys.
