Een uur later verschijnt er meer vis op het echogram, deze keer aan de bodem. We hopen, naast haring, op een vangst met medusen, net als bij trek 16, zodat we met meer zekerheid de soort kunnen bepalen.
Wednesday the 14th of July at 4:00 UTC we start a new transect. Early in the morning, around 5:00, we detect two schools near the surface. Unfortunately it is not enough to start fishing. An hour later we see more fish on the echogram, this time near the seafloor. We hope that, besides herring, we might catch some more medusa, like in haul 16, so we can precisely determine the species.

Om 15:45 UTC op 56.27.84N-1.54.24E doen we een CTD opname (nr. 25) en draaien naar het zuidwesten richting het volgende transect. Om 18:17 UTC starten we vanaf 56.13.21N-1.26.43E in westelijke richting op het nieuwe transect.
At 15:45 UTC at 56.27.84N-1.54.24E we carry out a CTD downcast (no. 25) and turn southwest towards the next transect. At 18:17 UTC we start from 56.13.21N-1.26.43E heading west on the new transect.
