Het is mistig en het water is groenig melkachtig als gevolg van de bloei van een soort fytoplankton, coccolithophoren. Om 7:30 UTC zien we scholen aan de oppervlakte, waarop we vissen voor trek 19: het is jonge haring in de lengteklasse van 18-23 cm. Na deze trek waren we verder over het transect, tot 12:25 UTC, 56.13.95N-0.14.86W, zetten we koers naar het volgende transect naar NW. Daar beginnen we om 13:24 UTC, 56.21.90N-0:23.67W op het nieuwe transect in oostelijke richting.
