We weten uit ervaring dat er weinig haring of andere pelagische vis is te zien in het zuidelijke gebied. Bovendien is de bodem er zo hard, met zoveel hoogteverschillen, dat het eigenlijk niet mogelijk is om er te vissen. En inderdaad, na onze start op zondag 12 juli 2020 om 4:11 UTC op 54.40N-1.01E, zien we op de laatste twee transecten nauwelijks vis-echo's op het echolood. Er is dus ook niets om op te vissen.

Om 7:33 UTC op 54.28N-2.00E draaien we naar WNW op het volgende transect en om 15:18 UTC op 54.23N-1.46E naar ESE. Om 20:00 UTC nemen we nog een CTD (nr 34) op 53.27N-1.22E, waarna stoppen met de survey. We zetten koers naar Scheveningen.

We know from experience that there is little herring or other pelagic fish in the southern area. Moreover, the bottom is so hard, with so many differences in height, that it is actually not possible to fish there. Indeed, after our start on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at 4:11 UTC at 54.40N-1.01E, we hardly see any fish echoes on the echosounder on the last two transects. So there is also nothing to fish for.
